Neurosurgery and spine surgery are supported by the imaging department that also serves the rest of the hospital, and by intensive care on the same campus. For this group in particular that proximity matters, because neurological patients often need close monitoring after surgery.
What this department treats

What happens when you arrive
- Start at the general OPD. Between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm, pay the consultation charge and you will be seen. That charge includes the medicine prescribed for that day. In an emergency, go straight to accident and emergency instead.
- Bring what you have. Photo identification, any scheme or insurance card, and earlier prescriptions, scans or reports.
- Scheme check before admission. If you hold a Mukhyamantri Amrutum or Ayushman Bharat card, the counter verifies it before admission rather than at discharge.
- Rates are published. The same rate applies to every patient in a category. There is no negotiation at the counter and nothing to be gained by asking.
