Clinical exposure
Training inside our own multi speciality hospital, not a tie-up hospital somewhere else.
In short
Where do nursing students train?
Students train in the hospital on the same campus at Ved Road, Surat, across its 26 departments. Because emergency, intensive care, the laboratory and imaging run around the clock, and there are four modular operation theatres, placement covers wards, critical care, theatres and diagnostics.
- 26 departments on the same campus
- Four modular operation theatres
- Critical care and night work included
This is the single strongest reason to study here. Most nursing schools in Surat send their students elsewhere for practical training, which means a bus ride, a borrowed ward and whatever exposure the host hospital can spare that week.
Here the school and the hospital are the same campus and the same trust. Students train in twenty-six departments, including accident and emergency, intensive care, the coronary intensive care unit, the neonatal and paediatric intensive care units, four modular operation theatres and a dialysis unit.
What students see
Critical care
Intensive care, coronary intensive care, and a 24-hour emergency department.
Women and child
Maternity, a neonatal intensive care unit and a separate paediatric ICU.
Theatres
Four modular operation theatres with laminar air flow.
Dialysis and diagnostics
A dialysis unit, plus a laboratory and imaging running 24 hours.
How the rotation works
The structure of the clinical rotation should come from the school rather than be described in general terms.
What this page needs from the school of nursing
- How the clinical rotation is structured across the programme
- Hours of clinical exposure per year
- Supervision arrangements on the wards
- Whether students rotate through any external facility
Until that arrives this page stays deliberately short rather than carrying content nobody can stand behind. If you need any of it now, call 0261 2510050 and ask.
Where students train

What a placement covers
The exact rotation is set by the college. Call 0261 2510050 and ask.
- Wards
General medicine and surgery
The departments that carry the largest share of admissions.
- Critical care
Intensive care, neonatal and paediatric units
All three run around the clock on the same campus.
- Theatres
Four modular operation theatres
Perioperative work alongside the surgical teams.
- Diagnostics
Laboratory and imaging
Both open 24 hours, so students see the night work too.
